Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 18, 2026
Sealify("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services. By using Sealify, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
- Create an account — first name, last name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Submit an application — your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and details about the property you are applying for (address, move-in date, number of bedrooms and bathrooms).
- Make a payment — your Chime payment confirmation. We do not store payment account details on our servers.
- Contact us — any information you include in messages sent through our contact form or email.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is collected through standard web analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your co-signing service application
- Verify your identity and eligibility
- Issue your official co-signer offer letter
- Communicate with you about your application status, updates, and support
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve our website, services, and user experience
- Send you service-related emails (we do not send marketing emails without your consent)
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your co-signer — necessary personal details are shared with the qualified co-signer who will be listed on your application, solely for the purpose of fulfilling the service.
- With landlords or lenders — information included in your official offer letter as needed to complete your application.
- With service providers — trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our platform (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting, email delivery). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- For legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or fraud prevention purposes.
Application data is retained for a minimum of 12 months to comply with recordkeeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and analyse how our website is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the website.
